Joshua Elliot Ministries
The story of Bro. Joshua (C.S. Kumar) is one of remarkable transformation — a journey from a devout Hindu upbringing to a life reshaped by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Born on August 31st, 1984, into an Orthodox Hindu family, Bro. Joshua grew up as the eldest of three siblings, raised under the strong influence of Hindu customs and traditions. His father, a dedicated serviceman in the Indian Army, instilled in the family a deep commitment to their faith and heritage.
From his earliest years, Bro. Joshua faced an isolating challenge — a voice condition known as puberphonia, which made him a target of ridicule and bullying. The pain of that humiliation ran deep, yet it quietly fueled a hunger within him to seek something greater.
That search took a decisive turn during a college gathering, when a friend shared the message of Jesus Christ — His death on the cross and the power of His shed blood to forgive sin and His wounds for our healing. The words landed differently than anything Bro. Joshua had heard before, stirring a longing he could not easily explain.
Soon after, a pastor's son placed an audio cassette in his hands — a recording of the life of Jesus. As he listened, hour after hour, tears fell freely. Something within him was being undone and remade all at once.
It was in that season of awakening that the miraculous occurred. His voice — long a source of shame — was healed. What followed was a restoration that extended far beyond the physical, touching his mind, his emotions, and every dimension of his life.
His story echoes the truth of Psalm 139:16 — that our days are held in the hands of a God who sees, who plans, and who redeems. From suffering to faith, from silence to song, Bro. Joshua's life stands as living proof of what grace can do.
Today, Joshua Elliot Ministries carries that same message forward — reaching across generations with the Word of God and worship that moves hearts. Through tireless outreach, spirit-filled music, and an unwavering passion for people, the ministry continues to draw men and women of every background into a deeper, more purposeful walk with God.
